If you didn’t already know, I love a good, cheap, easy to do and/or make, all natural health/skincare regimen or routine and I love that I can share it with you all.
Today, let’s discuss Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera is a medicinal plant that stores water in its leaves. People have used Aloe for thousands of years to treat health conditions. It contains antioxidant and antibacterial properties. It speeds up the healing process of wounds, it’s high in vitamins and minerals, it improves digestion and it prevents and treats dehydration. It can also be used for skin care, hair care and more. It can be used orally and can be applied directly onto the skin.
There are so many more ways that Aloe Vera can be used, so if you’re suffering from any health issues, or looking for a new skincare regimen, go online and research how it could benefit you. I’m sure you’ll find something.
I’ve decided to start using it as a part of my skincare regimen. I bought one big aloe leaf, cut it into smaller sections and removed the skin. I then cut the gel into smaller pieces. I placed them into a few ziplock bags, (picture below), and froze what wasn’t being used to save them for a later date. When frozen, they can last up to 6 months.
