I normally buy whole pineapples when they’re 2 for $5, or less. I’ll cut it up and we normally have a few pieces or more a day. Not only do they taste good, they’re packed with vitamin C, they help soothe the symptoms of a cold and also helps to dissolve mucus. Pineapples contain bromeliad, which is an enzyme with anti-inflammatory properties that fights infections and kills bacteria. Drinking pineapple juice can also help soothe a sore throat. It’s said to be more effective than cough syrup. I believe it!
